AOL ban lifted

On March 4, 2001, DALnet found it necessary to place a domain ban on AOL due to their reluctance to deal with abusive users from their service. These domain bans are placed after many attempts to resolve the problem through attempted contacts with both the users and AOL.
This ban was lifted on March 13, 2001, following successful negotiations between DALnet and a contact person at AOL. This internet service provider has indicated that the opportunity for open discussion will be maintained with DALnet. A contact person has been established with AOL and assurances were given that abuse issues will be handled in a more responsive manner. |
